The National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP) and NICS Act Record Improvement Program (NARIP) grants are targeted specifically at central repositories and courts.  Yet, each year several applications go unfunded for projects that are sorely needed in each state and nationally.  Join us for this session to learn how to get your grant funded.  We will explore proven concepts for meeting grant priority areas related to bolstering criminal history record completeness, accuracy, and timeliness; improving dispositions for purposes of bolstering background checks for firearms, mental health, employment, and access to vulnerable populations; and participating in national programs for interstate accessibility of criminal records.   From this session you can walk away with ready to go materials that easily transfer into your grant applications.
