Jeff Hill, M.O.M. is Deputy Chief of Investigative and Front-line Support Services with the Halton Regional Police Service. Since beginning his policing career in 1997, Jeff has held progressively senior leadership positions across investigative and operational portfolios.
In his current role, Jeff provides executive leadership to a broad portfolio that includes regional investigations, intelligence, forensic identification, computer crime, emergency services and corporate support functions. He has commanded investigative and support portfolios since 2017, giving him extensive experience in the governance, implementation and operational oversight of complex policing capabilities.
Jeff was invested as a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces by the Governor General of Canada in recognition of his contributions to policing. He is also the recipient of the Police Exemplary Service Medal.
At this year's conference, Jeff will bring an executive leadership and governance perspective to Halton's experience implementing facial recognition through a collaborative multi-agency model, including the importance of organizational readiness, accountability, partnership and public trust.
