James Howard is a Detective with the Forensic Identification Services at Peel Regional Police in Ontario, Canada, with 23 years of law enforcement experience. His career has included roles in Uniform Patrol, Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST), Special Victims Unit, and Major Case Management before joining Forensic Identification Services in 2017.
James has experience as a Crime Scene Examiner, Latent Print Examiner, and Biometric Analyst, and now oversees forensic operations, training, quality assurance, Forensic Video, DNA, Facial Recognition and AFIS Teams. He recently earned a Bachelor of Forensic Identification from Laurentian University and is engaged in advancing forensic processes through education, collaboration, and the practical application of emerging technologies.
