Debra La Rush is in her 22nd year with the Toronto Police Service, and currently serves as the AFIS Supervisor. She started her career with the Service in Communications, followed by Records Management, and joined the Forensic Identification Services unit as Fingerprint Examiner in 2007. Now as the AFIS Supervisor, she leads the AFIS, DNA Coordinator, and Booking Administration teams. Debra oversees daily operations, staffing, procurement, and change management with evolving technologies and workflows. She has also been involved with internal working groups for process, policy and procedure review.
