Don McCown has over 47 years of experience in public safety and has served as a medicolegal death investigator, paramedic, police officer, and firefighter.

Mr. McCown has spent the last 24 years serving as Deputy Coroner and Chief Deputy Coroner for the Anderson County Office of the Coroner in Anderson. In this role, he manages all operational aspects of the office, which handles more than 2,600 death cases annually with a staff of 17 employees.

Mr. McCown holds numerous instructor credentials in death investigation, emergency medical services, and specialized rescue teams. He is also a frequent presenter for various agencies and state conferences, where he provides training and education on death investigations and medicolegal practices.
