The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division(SLED) recently completed the redevelopment of its Criminal History Repository, modernizing a legacy mainframe system built in the 1970s on COBOL. The new system is built on a Microsoft SQL Server and .NET Core infrastructure.  The redevelopment has significantly improved usability, enables comprehensive data audits and bulk data uploads that were previously difficulty, if not impossible, to perform.
