This presentation focuses on why the NIST evalution process of biometric algorithms is crtical to the criminal justice community in estblishing trust, accuracy, and accountability in the use of identification systems.  This session will also highlight how standardized, vendor-neutral benchmarks help agencies make informed procurement decisions, reducing risk of adopting unreliable or biased technologies.
